The XC is OPEN for one weekend, 3rd & 4th Feb, BUT the water is out of use and the course is in its 2023 wintered state. However if you would like to jump some solid fences early in the season then please book online. We will be closed thereafter for maintenance with an aim to be open at the end of March.
Downlands are proud of our extensive Cross-Country schooling field with a large water complex.
In April 2023 a new field will open with banks and mounds to learn balance and accuracy, we have the brilliant addition of a start box with a lovely line of fences to school over, plus we have some new technical fences for you to work on tricky lines.

Downlands is a working farm and periodically we may graze our sheep or cows on sections of the XC course, they do a fantastic job of keeping the grass short! If you have concerns about this and wish to know the current status of the course please either check our face book page or call Sophie on 07734 299706. This also means there are strictly no dogs allowed.
If you can’t book on the website it may be that we have shut due to unpredictable weather. Please note that from time to time we have to close off certain jumps on the event field to manage the ground.
